HOW IT STARTED
The year was 2019. Founders David and Stacey DeMello had just sold their Fall River cold storage business of twenty years and decided it was time for a change of scenery. David, being a Dartmouth native, had his eyes set on a piece of land he had dreamed of owning since he was a small boy. Not long after, the paperwork was signed, and David and Stacey moved to their newly acquired thirty one acres of farmland they endearingly named "Stone Creek Farm".
After a couple of years of navigating farm life, David & Stacey began to see the need for reliable support and service from businesses when it came to caring for their young farm. So in 2022, with their son Tyler and his wife Becky, David & Stacey transformed a pre-owned lot in Downtown Newbedford into StoneCreek Farm Feed & Grain.
HOW IT'S
GOING
Since opening our doors in 2022, we have had the pleasure of working with dozens of local livestock farms, nurseries, animal shelters, and homesteading families. Whether it's been being able to offer delivery to someone in a pinch, introducing customers to other up and coming businesses or being able to curate the best agricultural products out there... the joy has been seeing first hand how the little things, often make the biggest difference.
We hope to be a constant to the farming and homesteading community for years to come. And we look forward to the stories, relationships and wins we'll witness along the way!
